Why hello there! I'm Sarah. A coffee-drinking, crafting-obsessed, kid juggling illustrator and clip art creator.

I create expressive, fun illustrations that make it easier for teachers and parents to convey ideas and concepts to their bright young learners.

I’ve got three kids. I know how hard it can be to get (and keep) them interested in learning. But I’ve learned that keeping them engaged is like blending spinach into their spaghetti sauce. You’ve got to mix in the teaching with the fun and they’ll never notice the good-for-you stuff they were turning their noses up at before.

Some of my illustrations were first created as fun calendar tags so that each day could be a different image of a pattern. We would draw out the number of the day and add to the pattern as the month went on. I still make these images every month, except now I’m able to share them with resource designers, teachers, and parents as educational clip art. In fact, I still call them Calendar Icons Monthly Clip Art.

There's The Five Little Pumpkins, who first made their debut on a printable activity sent to school with my son and Bright Eye Monsters which were created as graphic elements for my daughter's second birthday. I've used my Emotions Clip Art printed out onto cards to help my kids when they can't put how they're feeling into words.

COMING SOON! Many of these projects and printables will be featured here on my blog. Check out "Kid Crafts" for some fun projects and printables.

What if you have a growing clip art collection but get a little stumped about what to do with them or even how to best use them? Check out "Using Clip Art" for tips and tricks of how to use clip art and ways to get creative with them outside the 8.5x11 box.

If you yourself have the clip art itch but aren't exactly sure how to get started to scratch it, I've got your back. I'm in the process of collecting tips and tutorials for making and selling clip art on websites like Teachers Pay Teachers and Etsy, so stay tuned for "Making Clip Art".

The Paper Clip Clubhouse

What is better than a club where everyone is invited? How about one that harbors exclusive freebie clip art and printables, early peeks on upcoming clip art sets, and first notice on sales. And top all that off with a members-only Facebook group where we can chat clip art and you can be part of the creative team that helps develop new clip art sets.

If that sounds like your cup of tea, click on the button below to join the Paper Clip Clubhouse!

Sarah has a long history of working in creative jobs. She has been a painter at a theater, a interior design assistant, and a graphic artist for consumer goods, but her most loved job is as a children's illustrator. She combines this colorful experience with her work in the early education setting and as a mom of three to provide creative, colorful, and personality-loaded clip art to the education sector.
